On September 11, 2018, the maiden voyage of Zhongxing Era's first intelligent unmanned vessel was a complete success.
An unmanned vessel is a surface boat powered by propulsion, operated without a crew, and equipped with autonomous navigation capabilities. As an integrated system, the unmanned vessel can perform functions such as intelligence gathering, surveillance, armed protection, precision strikes, search and rescue, navigation, and hydrographic surveying.
Through in-depth research in technological fields such as unmanned vessels, inertial navigation, satellite navigation and positioning, and photoelectric detection, Zhongxing Era has developed an unmanned intelligent sea measurement vessel.
1) The successful development of this sea measurement vessel will serve China's offshore, island and reef construction, military affairs, and civilian marine resource investigation.
2) It can make outstanding contributions in areas such as marine mapping, seawater data monitoring, and other aspects. At the same time, it provides offshore measurement services for the Belt and Road initiative vigorously advocated by the country, especially for the First Island Chain, the northern part of the Indian Ocean, the Middle East, and the waters of the Gulf of Aden. It can also provide services for water and underwater measurements in domestic rivers, lakes, and other water bodies.
3) In the future, with the addition of intelligent features and capabilities for hydrographic and underwater resource measurement and development, it can also serve military, maritime police, public law enforcement, and international trade.
